Jasper National Park is the largest of the group of national parks encompassing this section of the Canadian Rockies.

Jasper National Park is a little more out of the way than the other national parks in the Canadian Rockies, however that only means that it's less unexplored and less crowded than the other parks.
Jasper was established in 1907 and there were a few inital resorts built by the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) to lure posh tourists to see the wilds of the park. Today the park is visited by many tourists, however it strongly attracts those hikers and backpackers who wish to get away from it all and explore the true wilderness that only Jasper can offer.
Wildlife in Jasper is very abundant, you will most likely see elk, black bears, and more. Take the usual precautions, and of course, enjoy this glimpse of nature at it's finest!
